Great Bridge Children’s Center, LLC has been proudly serving the community as a privately owned, state-licensed child care provider since 2003. Husband and wife team, Chris and Michelle Braxton, own and operate the center.  They are deeply grateful for the opportunity God has given to serve alongside a team that is passionate about making Great Bridge Children’s Center the best it can be. 

 

Michelle Braxton serves as Administrator and Director. With over a decade of experience operating a successful home-based childcare program, Mrs. Braxton brings a deep understanding of the importance of creating a loving, Christian, home-like atmosphere where children can thrive and learn.  She is responsible for the overall day-to-day management and operation, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for our students. This includes developing programs, overseeing staff, professional development, and maintaining compliance with licensing regulations.

Chris Braxton serves as Managing Business Partner and Site Coordinator at Great Bridge Children’s Center. In this role, he focuses on the day-to-day business operations, project management, and overall center logistics to ensure that we function smoothly and efficiently. Chris also oversees facility maintenance and is dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment for our staff, families, and visitors.

Great Bridge Children's Center is licensed through the Division of Early Childhood Care and Education under the Virginia Department of Education. Choosing a licensed provider like Great Bridge means choosing a qualified professional who is dedicated to maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. Licensed programs are subject to two unannounced inspections annually and must meet rigorous standards, including staff background checks, education and training requirements, and health and safety compliance.
